After 11 years it is time to wave goodbye to my trusty steed, I had no intention of selling it (hence the recent service which almost certainly cost more than I will get for the car!).

What is the protocol for listing vehicles for sale? I had a quick look to see if there was a section on the forum but couldn't spot one. Can we list in this section?

The classified section is well down the forum page. There is info in the for sale section on selling cars. Please read this first before posting your ad. The ad needs to be moderated so will not appear immediately. GLWS.

Oooh that was weird, went and had another look and no sign of it. Did a search for "for sale" and it took me straight there, not when I look at the list of sections "Marketplace" has appeared! Wasn't man-looking I promise!

Right, need to give it a wash and vacuum then take some pictures....

Well, that was quick. I listed it on here, put sign in the window and parked it outside, on a whim I also put a note on Facebook in case any of my friends were interested, Facebook then automatically converted it to a "For Sale" post and offered to add it to marketplace.

Within minutes I was flooded with questions, offers and people wanting to come and look at the car! So, for anyone else looking to sell a vehicle I would strongly recommend it as a way of getting started.

As it happens I then sold the car to a friend who saw my Facebook post - so all good :-)
