Hi, I’m in ROI and looking at an A7 2015 bitdi. It’s for sale in a non franchise used car dealer. Car is well specked with refurbished 21 inch alloys, tech pack, blind spot assist, TV function etc. The garage was just closing when I got in there and car was wedged in, so I didn’t take it for a spin yet. What’s putting me off is dealer states car has 370hp and said it was a factory upgrade. I’m a bit dubious. Is there such a thing as a factory power upgrade ? Any idea how I can tell ? Any assistance/ advice appreciated. Thanks a million. Just to mention also it was originally a Uk car.

I would ask for proof. I can't imagine any Audi authorised dealer providing a remapping service....

You can get Audi to re-map.

    No such factory upgrade exists.
It will have been tuned by an aftermarket company.
However if it was done by a reputable company then no worries. You do need to find out who did it.

Factory upgrade? Fraid not. No such thing. There are tuning houses (I believe) that are sanctioned by Audi. The bottom line here is that the dealer has started out by trying to pull the wool over your eyes, either intentionally or through ignorance. Either way, walk away, quickly.
