Hi all. Just acquired a new to me Q7 4M in Orca Black, with seemingly a few toys to boot.
My question is : in the passenger footwell, is there a similar spaced aperture like the hole for the battery on the drivers side ?
Rather than tear the car to bits, I just thought I’d ask to see what people may have found whilst ‘exploring’ ?
It seems rather a lot of weight under the drivers feet, considering that there’s possibly only one person (the driver) in a lot of the time, and wondered whether there was anything counterbalancing the weight in the passengers side ?

    Hi,

Pretty certain there is no similar cubby hole there,
pitty, it would be a good storage space as there are few and far between.
Not even a place for your sunglasses.
At least the old Q7 had a little draw inder the seat!

Have you got a pic of said hole in the passenger footwell? I've never seen that, but curious to find out if you can share any info!?!

Wasn’t sure if there was a hole for, say, the battery to be switched to the other side for a lhd car for instance ?
It seems foolish for a bloody great hole on the drivers side, and a missed opportunity on the other side ?
Toying with the idea of a stereo upgrade, and if there is said hole, I’m going to put a 10” sub in there !
Might have to have a ‘pull apart and explore session’

LHD and RHD car has the 12V battery at the same place. The LHD car has the battery on the passenger side, RHD car on the driver side.

Get us some pictures of what your seeing! As a UK car you should just have your battery under your drivers footwell, no "holes" on the passenger side (to my knowledge anyway)

Thats a shame, cos if there was a similar sized hole there, it’d make a decent 10” sub box enclosure …
