First Problem is that when I put my foot on the brake pedal, the Depress pedal on dash does not go out. So shifter is stuck in park and unable to move. Vag Com fault codes are 02413,28775, and 00194. Obviously with the flashing lights on dash I’m guessing could be Mechatronic unit but hopefully not. When the problem first occurred I noticed gear Shift was lightly knocking and would occasionally allow me to put into gear, however I could not move as the brakes were not releasing. Any help please.

Try Ross Tech for the fault codes
    http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00194
Could also be the micro switch which senses when it is in P. Gets stuck and car doesn't know which gear it is in.

Thanks for the reply, but have found the fault. One of the 12 volt supply’s to the gearshift wasn’t there. Repaired the wire and now all good.
