    Hmm.. Without wishing to sound like a killjoy, making the majority of the tech listed is actually good in my view. I'm also not opposed to speed limiters. Although I admit to occasionally using excess (rather than excessive) speed, there's a place for speed. Public highways are not that place. That's why we have track days and club racing. I have a speed limiter on the works Vito and I'm fine with it.

    You would hope that the limiter could be switched off for use on track. Being overtaken in your RS6 (I wish) by a 90's Nova would be difficult to swallow...

    If software engineers can crack the most heavily protected car systems how long you you think it will be before “man in van with laptop” is offering to permanently disable the system? It is a stupid idea and it can be bypassed by flooring the throttle anyway, daft and pointless.

    Can't argue with that, very true. It's just another move to save the majority from the stupidity of the minority.

    Going back to the Vito, the stalk mounted limiter is pretty handy. I have adaptive cruise on the A7, which is a great bit of tech!
