    Hello and good afternoon everyone

When it rains , I have a problem with my right turn indicator. When I try to flash right instead the left flashes a couple of times and then nothing flashes. Obviously, this is very dangerous as could cause a crash. I have already replaced the hazard warning light as suggested before by others and I've also read about it being a possible broken indicator stalk fault but I'm not sure as it only happens in the rain which to me suggests more of an electrical short somewhere

does any one know if and where the short would most likely be ?
where would the circuit be most vulnerable too ?

    Thanks

Found quite a major leak today so pretty sure i now know whats causing it
i took away the carpet trim that covers the inner rear light cluster and it was filled up with water so i traced the leak back and its trickling down from top of the boot, so for now i'm keeping that bit of trim off to stop any more water and moisture from getting in and i've placed a cup to collect the water as it's ******* it down at the moment

yeah looks like theirs a leak from either the rear window seal or the high brake light seal and it's dripping down

scrap the above as that still wouldn't explain why it's sending a signal to the left to flash , if it was water on the wire it would just flat out short. So i took it to a local audi specialist for them to take a look and they believe the stalk has gone bad and needs replacing which tallies up with what other people have said online whom have had this bizarre issue ... still doesn't exactly explain why it only happens in rain but I suppose it's a matter of elimination

the leak was coming from the high brake light so that's another job that needs doing and will probably ask the garage as it looks a bit of a pita to access .. lol
