Just done my first oil change on the Q7 4M CRTC engine.
    What were they thinking?
They have made something easy and straight forward into something complicated.
    NO oil dipstick!
Sorry but this seem stupid to me.
I did notice that the dipstick tube is still there?
Dose anyone know what dipstick will fit this engine?
Thought of just using an old stick from a similar engine or just a length of 4mm plastic tubing, and marking it where the level should be.
    Any ideas wellcome.

    Hi Andy,

I had a look on ETKA as well , couldnt find anything either.
Ah well , next time I do an oil change I will shove a piece of nylon tube down
and mark the level on that , just so I can top up to the propper level without
having to wait for the cars brain to catch up!

I use a dipstick from my old S4 on a number of cars, dip before draining, note level, refill to the same, check electronically.

    Hi Guys,

Finally found out what they use at the dealers, it's a special tool that is actually an adjustable dip stick.
Found it on Ebay, ordered and it works great. Just set it to match your engine code ( my case CRTC )
and use as you would any other dip stick.
Makes oil changing a lot easier, no more messing about with the in car display.

Any body interested here is the link.
