think i have an electrical gremlin... :(

so car driving 100% - well no different from the last 6 months - went to start it Saturday morning and instantly got a beep and battery symbol - started just fine no issues - i only moved it to wash it and left it running for 5 minutes and after washing the same thing. got into it that night and i noticed the interior lights didnt come on. i did a scan and had 4 of the 6 battery current stages alerting along with can bus security and another odd bod - was that annoyed i cleared without a save oh well. all the time turns over 100% and starts - no sign of low battery.
So short journeys all weekend with this oddity - jumped in this morning and all was back to normal?!?!? - haven't scanned to see if anything came back.

Does this ring a bell with anyone - can you predict the future - what am i in for ?!?! - why have i got A team music in my head now?!?!

Bit of an update I found the spare wheel swimmjng in about 2 inches of water, as the car never strughled to start and short journeys were ok i am guessing the water was hitting the battery charge controler (ibs?) I have dried it out and the fault is still thereshortly after but I did give the wires a shake. Fingers crossed it won't cone back again.....
I am away now to get upto speed on this just in case.....

Ok so no joy with that - i have 02072 faults coming out of my ears with the odd 00458 thrown in - think it migh tnow be broke.
Ill check the connections and see first

ok so i went a couple of days there without the fault - battery indicator on dash and beep as soon as IGN is turned on.
So i am convinced it is a poor connection. just a matter of finding time when it is dry to do something about it.

so I finally got at the car last night, for the last few days its been totally out – no lights what so ever when unlocked.
I was getting worried that the battery was not getting charged properly as a result.

When I unplugged the 12 pin (or so) connection the bottom 4 holes were covered in green.

They are to small to clean by hand so a quick spray with a wd40 alternative in socket and plug, then a quick blast with air to clear the excess and prevent shorts.
Normal service has resumed.

this was only last night - if it rears its head again i will keep the post updated.
