    Now tearing my hair out.

I am reasonably conversant with computing but just can't grasp this. I'm getting the '01336 - Company Data Bus for Comfort System 49-00 - No Communications' fault for the instruments and the CAN gateway modules. When I interrogate the CAN gateway further, it reports that the Comfort bus is working in 2-wire mode - i.e. properly. All systems on this bus appear to be operating correctly (checking using the RD200 radio). Everything else on the other buses are running normally/reliably.

I think that my diagnostics is using the K-Line system. On initialisation, the diagnostics is reporting that the CANbus interface is not ready - suggesting that there's a problem between the OBD port and the bus itself. Some of the modules that I would expect to see (e.g. the auxiliary heater) aren't visible. But where is this elusive interface?

Any experience of this type of annoyance / problem or suggestions as to where I should physically look for broken wiring / damaged modules / relays, please?

    Thanks
    John

Can't help directly with the 01336 error, although I vaguely recall from other posts that it is often a door module / damaged wiring in door gator / bad earth there due to rain.

I also have no aux heater comms on our Touran, and tracked that to corroded and broken pin on the 12V supply connector right next to the heater. Expecting it to work once I repair that .

    Thanks VAG-Abound.
I've spent a couple of hours reading the various forums and agree that I need to be looking at the door (who'd of thought?), under the front passenger seat and possibly behind the glove box....
For some reason, I can't get my copy of ElsaWIN to give me the location pictures, so I guess it's a day with the torch and the meter!
    Appreciate your time, thanks!
