Moving on from the humidity problem which is slowly improving, I still most likely have a problem according to my classic crazy local garage with a faulty ECU unit instead and that it most likely needs repairing as new ones are very expensive. This is because the oil lamp icon in the top left hand corner of the instrument cluster keeps returning and they're still not sure what's causing it.

Haven't a clue myself either so any thoughts or suggestions beforehand would be most welcome....

    Thanks

No idea what this means but this is the symbol I've been fed up with regularly seeing since I bought the car 18 months ago. This might even be causing the remote key fob to stop working as well for all I know....

That is a engine management fault, you need to get it scanned to see the faults and report back,if you've got high humidity levels its leaking into the cabin.

Thanks. The garage said it meant it was something to do with the ECU unit and needed to be sent away to be repaired, having already replaced one relay in it as I said earlier that had gone green around its base.

This is why I was wondering what they cost etc. and what to do....

Never having heard of it before just Googled IMMO off and realised why you mentioned it sounding ideal, so surprised the garage hasn't heard of it in view of the costs possibly involved. I'll mention this on Monday as well as getting a meaningful answer thanks....
