Radiator fans on the V6 TDI are very expensive (no idea why) I got a used pair of fans from ebay, as I figured if one failed the other one would not be far behind, thankfully only one failed and the other I sold easy when I got rid of my C6.

I was amazed at the price but I’m not paying a grand for two new fans that work just fine, as they obviously do because they’re staying on.
I’ll replace the control module first for £45 and go from there.

Audi prices are a joke, my local dealer wanted £120+vat just to scan the car. What’s that, a 5 minute job? Disgrace

Well after reading numerous posts I’ve circumvented fan2, ran it up to temp and fan 1 kicked in as it should.
Going to order a new control unit, I don’t suppose anyone knows the part number do they?

See if there is a part number on your existing one. Also ask any seller if they can cross reference the part number.

I dont think that we have the 2.7 liter non turbo engine in the states? Boy your car must be a dog. The twin turbo model here goes like a raped ape.

Not sure if this has been resolved but just fixed mine for the exact same issue. Turned out to be the air con pressure / temperature sensor. £30 from eurocar parts and all fine now 👍🏻👍🏻
