    Hi all

Have had an Audi A6 3.0 TDi Le Mans Quattro Salooon for around 6 years - probably best car i have ever owned, but lately having a weird experience when parking the car.

On two occasions i have parked the car nose first into car parking spaces where there is a low kerb (regular height) under the front bumper, regularly drive up till front wheels touch kerb.

Upon return to the car the car seems to have lowered itself so that the underside of the bumper is now caught on the back edge of the kerb, on one occasion this resulted in me pulling the bumper off as i thought parking brake had stuck on.

This only seems to be happening in last few months, not experienced it in the previous 5 years of owning the car.

If there some form of hydraulic suspension i am not aware of? Anyone else had similar experiences?

I know i will now be reversing into all spaces with this possibility but curious as to why this is now happening.

    Cheers

I had this happen to me a few months ago, also after about 6 years of ownership. Mines a 2008 with similar miles. I blame the fact that I had just serviced the car and had not fixed the undertray back properly. I think the middle section dropped down and caught. Damn near ripped the bumper off. Broke the bumper brackets on the sides and getting it fixed soon.
