I’m going to change my fuel filter this week on my 2.0l diesel, once I’ve changed it , do I need to use VCDS to prime/bleed the system ?

(I’ve had a look on the internet , but can’t find a definitive answer)

    Thanks in advance

When using ODIS it runs it for about five minutes so VCDS usually times out and the process has to be started a few times.

I think it times out after a minute. The pain is that sometimes VCDS will not allow you to carry out a further output test without exiting Engine 01 and momentarily attempting to start the engine!

So without VCDS a DIY job is out then. Back to the dealer it is...

You could hot wire the relay but it's a bit of a pain.
