Audi rs6 avant (2009) steering noise

Hello, Brand new member here.

I own a 2009 Audi RS6 Avant and it has started making a creaking noise which sounds like its coming from directly behind the steering wheel...or very close to the top of the steering column.

It only happens when stationary or at very low speed and only when turning the wheel right

It had a major service 3 weeks ago and had new pads, discs and tyres all round and came back from the dealer free of any issues. This has happened in the last couple of days.

I live on a small Scottish island and its difficult to take it to an Audi main dealer without taking a ferry trip and travelling to Glasgow.

Wondering if anyone here knows of a common fault here and a quick fix or is it a trip to Audi?

Quick fix, RS6... anyway the racks on the 4F do get noisy but have you checked the fluid level? With the brakes having been done they would have been moving the steering by moving the wheels, not from inside, and this can cause fluid to escape out of the bottle and then let air in.

I haven't checked that...I will do so this afternoon. If it is indeed that then I would think that would also constitute a quick fix
