It’ll be the wire cable snapped on the regulator. I had the drivers door one replaced by my local garage on a 2004 Touareg which would be pretty similar to the Q7. It wasn’t that expensive to buy but it was 3hrs labour from memory.
Link below to a youtube video of the rear door on the Q7, it’s quite involved.

    hi all,
    got this replaced yesterday.
my mate and i did it,
took the door panel off, then removed the motor and speaker and the studs that hold the regulator to the door,
not the nuts but the studs.
then unclip the two clips these are about 10mm in dia that attach the bottom of the glass, to the regulator you need someone to hold the window! tricky.
then refit the new regulator loosely and make sure its the right way round!
once fitted the gear drive mountings must be pulled through.
then its the reverse off the removal!
    any questions please ask!
