Yes I have read up about that. I should probably bite the bullet and get them too I want to hold onto the car. Would you do anything to modify the new ones to keep the oil gallery plugs in?
Does replacing the injector seals do anything to get the figures back down?
    Thanks

Oil gallery plugs? If you take the injectors out you will probaly find they have been moving around which damages the bore and when you need a cam and with their propensity for leaking head gaskets, if you want to keep it I would look at building a new head based on an AMC or KS casting using your original valves and springs and new aftermarket (billet steel, not cast) cam kit. What to do about the injectors is a conundrum, they are available exchnage from Bosch who are the only people I will buy them from because £647.40 EACH from VAG is insane but I don't know what planet Euro Car Parts are on listing the exchnage Bosch units at £1504.99.... In fact delving into it there is something going on out there over the Bosch 0 986 441 559, they are mad money everywhere but they are ont tinetrweb at £460... personally I would scarp the car and buy a petrol! Look at it this way, many areas of the UK will be charging an EU4 diesel £12 odd a day in a couple of years but I have no idea what Irelands plans are.
