Hello Guys and Thank you for letting me join you!
My name is Alex and I’m a Vehicle Pro Technician. I worked really hard in a small garage and made progress to be a Pro Technician at Toyota currently.
I currently got Audi Q3 2.0 TDI Sline, Skoda Fabia VSR 1.9TDI and Toyota Supra MK4.
Had over 12 VAG group cars in last 4 Years!
In 2018 I’ve created a Youtube Channel that got over 170 videos. That include loads and mainly VAG car Problem solutions. Pretty much everything we got on the road.
Aim of my channel is to help everyone with any car issues including buying them as well. Have a quick look at my channel and Subscribe if you think it that it might be helpful to you one day!
Share if you can, as this service is free and my aim is to dedicate myself 100% in to this. Success for me will be opening my little workshop where I can give honest help and advice and also support this channel to provide as many videos and help as I can!
If you got a spare 5 sec then please Subscribe and that will be an amazing help towards my dream! I will appreciate that more than you can imagine!

Those are amazing resources! I've been watching a lot of ChrisFix's videos on YouTube and although they're fantastic, they're more general vehicle troubleshooting and guides.

Looking forward to seeing what you've got on your channel!

Actually, hopefully a quick question for you:
Where are the best places to jack up the car in order to use axle stands, particularly at the front of the car?

On my S5 the manual shows where the safest places are to jack the vehicle up (about a foot back from the wheel) but how on earth do you get an axle stand in there too? Is it safe to use the knuckle a little bit further in to jack it up first?

You need the proper plastic lifting blocks that slot into channels in the sills and prevent lifting pads damaging the body. I got our two sets off of fleaBay, they are made from hockey pucks with sliced plastic rod screwed to them. They needed a little bit of tweaking with longer screws but they are extremely useful, especially on the Mk2 TT.

Would you be able to share a link to a set that would suit? I've seen many, some with slots in them, some with a block, but none that specifically mention fitting my S5.
I can see ones for BMW, but there are no measurements for the blocks.

    Thanks!

Actually never mind. Found some info on another forum, basically saying that you need to get ones with a reasonably deep and wide slot.
    Ordered four from Amazon.
