Hey Col, I remember you too, how are you?
Still cutting about here and still in the brand too no doubt, hope all is well....

Yes I was here back in the day with my Audi A6 C6 that I had for around 7 years and then Mrs C had it for 3, now in my daughters ""care"" or lack of should I say unfortunately.
We also had the Passat at that time before selling it to my BIL who managed to successfully UNDO all of the good work we'd done with her

As you can see, currently trying to resurrect her from the abyss as a daily runabout, just to last for a year or so

I think we're succeeding to some degree, I was in her yesterday and she's pulling like a train, I think perhaps the Mr Muscle treatment and the work on the actuator rod has had some impact, we'll contine with that for a wee while to se if we can improve further.
Then it'll be some new tyres and a few suspension components, a thorough clean inside n out, wheels off to clean and repaint hubs / calipers, try to sort the central locking issue and add a replacement bootlid hinge ( passenger side ) being amongst the things to do.

Nice to see a few of the old faces still around, friendly and helpful as always too

    As for me?
I'm still running my Jaguar forum and holding meet events etc, but keep up with some die hard VW Audi guys too. I'm running my Jaguar XJ X351 3.0D Portfolio LWB and mrs C has her Jaguar X type 2.2d Sport Premium

    All my best
    Jim

I've not changed car for a long long time. I've been in B5.5 Passats for 12 years now with only minor itches to change car which soon go away. Current 53 reg owned since 2011.

    New development with the Passat...…

He's done a few Mr Muscle treatments now and also managed to get the actuator rod moving, I was out with him the other day and the car was flying, really good turn of speed AND pulling like a train, so something somewhere is having an effect

He reports to me today though, on starting the car she pulls ok an but says she actually seems to pull BETTER with the engine management light ON??

Unsure if that points to anything or not?

He's off to get some decent part worn tyres and get it booked in for a few suspension pieces needed

    Thanks
    Jim
