vw golf 2012 tdi

Our golf 2012 tdi estate se owned for 4 years started acting strangely yesterday when putting on the ignition it was asking to pair with mobile a phone
and there were 3 stored names (this is in the dash info section where we always have it set to show remaining fuel mileage !) tried to delete stored names without success.
We have never made calls or received calls we didnt know it had this capability and dont want it -just want to show fuel mileage remaining.
I have disconnected the battery for 10 mins and reconnected no difference ? vehicle handbook is no help it has a basic radio cd player the 310 and basic steering wheel
with no buttons on it ?? Help ! Thanks Gregg

Does the right hand stalk have a rocker and button? This can be used to navigate the menus on the display if you don’t have the buttons on the steering wheel. It could be that you just accidentally knocked it.
