    Hi everyone!

I have a '99 passat b5 with 2.5 v6 TDI afb motor (4motion tiptronic), and i want to change upper oil pan gasket. Anyone can link me some DIY solution, video or photos for that? Or anyone can tell me it only can be serviced after the engine taken out or can be serviced within the engine bay? I don't wanna take to a mechanic, because it's a lil' bit expensive.

    Thanks for any advice!

It is no longer a gasket and is replaced with D 176 404 A2 silicone sealant. It is engine or subframe out.

So if i get the subframe out, i can change the seal within the engine bay? And what you suggest: Take the engine out / Take the subframe out? I know it Will be hard, nevermind what option i should select, but which is the easier?

With the correct equipment I would do it engine in car BUT you need a two post lift, on your back would be a nightmare...
