Having just got my car back after having some warranty work done - coolant valve, in another thread - I've noticed the mirror dip function in reverse, is faulty. It either doesn't dip, or does does so when driving along normally.

I adjusted the mirror yesterday, thinking the dealer had adjusted it downwards for some reason, then realised this morning, that it hadn't moved, when I selected reverse.

It appears to be sticking, so that when it does dip on reverse, it stays dipped, followed by me adjusting it to mid-position, then when I selected reverse, tp go into a car-park space, no movement, until I pressed park on the gear-selector and turned off the ignition, whereupon the mirror tilted up.

    Anybody had this issue?

Can’t say I’ve had this - had the issue where it doesn’t always dip on reverse (even though the mirror selection knob is in right position)

It gets curiouser and curiouser. I've had messages saying 'Left indicator faulty' 'left foglight faulty' and 'left reversing light faulty...'

The indicators are all indicating both sides but the fog and reversing lights aren't working.

The left-indicator-light error message came up, as I was driving along and whilst the mirror was adjusting itself with no input from me.

That doesn't sound right at all. If the mirror adjustment knob is in the left hand position that should be it but given your saying fault lights appearing as well you need to get that hooked to to a computer to see why it's erroring.

    Very bizarre.

I connected up VCDS and no errors. The two bulbs are out but indicators are fine.

Mirror all odd. I wonder if there's water in somewhere, given how much grief I had on my A6 Avant with flooding.

    Hi ragebe

I've got a similar ISH problem, happened to me last year. Might be worth checking if this is also key specific.

Bringing in my car on Monday, for me When I use my key and or car into reverse, passenger reverse mirror dips and directs going forward.

As soon as I start the car with my wife's key it doesn't reverse dip at all, also tried moving the mirror position whilst in reverse in case the reverse position was stuck but it doesn't move

I originally brought this to my local dealer and the technician got advise from Audi to put the key where the wireless key sign is in front of the armrest. Then turn off ignition take off seat belt, put on seat belt then turn on car.
Might be worth trying this as well.

Admittedly this fixed the issue for my wife's key temporarily but it's recently come back so bringing in on Monday for them to look at

Technician told me that he's seen it on other A4 but not on q7's so we'll see what happens when I bring it in.

    Thanks

It's actually operating correctly now. I did an MMI reset and it has been fine ever since. The dealer was very helpful on the phone and would have had the car back to investigate.
