Dodgy Bluetooth

Morning all,

My old girl is having problems with staying connected to my phone via bluetooth. It will randomly disconnect and reconnect, appear that its connected but its not. If I reset the MMI it works fine for a while.

This is the on;y problem I've had with the car after 5 years.

2.0Tdi Avant with 250k on the clock

Anyone any ideas?

I dont know where the units are on an A6 but check the boot side storage for water.

Have you updated the OS on your phone recently or changed the phone? Could be that the phone's version of bluetooth is not liking the older version in the car (assuming you still have the original OS for the MMI system). Might be worth also trying to delete the current pairing and then repair it and/or try a different phone to confirm the probelm is with the car not the phone

As above, my android phone recently updated and since then it's Bluetooth has been borked. Car connects wife's phone no problems but won't hold the connection to mine. Solution? New phone.

Mine does the same with anyone's phone which is why I suspect its the car at fault
