So who else gets out the front door about to jump in their car and finds the rear boot has opened by itself? It seems to be caused by the middle button on the remote being accidentally pressed whilst in my pocket. Really quite annoying and I have an A4 owning friend who has the same problem.

I noticed in the coding post that there is an option to enable a longer delay on the button press, but I dont have any way to set this.

Yeah it’s the one annoying thing - I’ve walked out of the house before to a wide open boot...no idea how long it’s been open.

I’ve noticed that they have changed this slightly on recent Q5 key so assume other Audi’s as well. You need to press the middle button twice to open the boot therefore virtually reducing the pocket opening to zero.

Fronty - where in the world are you? Someone maybe close by and able to help with the coding?

Yeah I've had this too - even when the car is locked

You would have thought it would make sense to disable the key fob opening the boot when the car is locked - it's a trade off - but the security overrides the slight hassle of having ing to unlock the car before opening the boot.

If anyone comes up with a solution I'd be thankful

I once walked back to a wide open boot after a trip to the Tesco! I thought I had forgotten to close the boot but I don't remember opening the boot at all in the first place... might be this as well... need to be more careful next time..

I have two car keys on my fob and I found ensuring they are back to back so buttons facing away with no other keys in-between them helps.

Yeah, I've had this too but since increasing the time to hold the button down its not happened since.

I'm sure there is a way to disable it completely but never bothered to look
@fronty - You're not a million miles from me if your Tadley/Hertfordshire and I'm Gatwick way. If your ever this direction - I'll happily do this for you
