I wonder if anyone has had this problem and knows how to resolve.

at 60mpm or more, I have a really annoying rattling sound coming from passenger area of dashboard. Can’t hear it at lower speeds. It’s like a rattling plastic sound and quite noticeable when music is off.

    Any ideas please?

Might not help you but mine was more like a squeaking noise and it turned out to be the passenger vent. Took it out greased everything and it's fixed. And bonus one, when the passanger headrest is fully pushed forward it squeaks. Best of luck in finding out, good luck!

I've had something similar (and have seen many other reports too) - the air bag serial number mounting plastic'y thing comes loose. Unless there is the foam gasket/spacer between it and the windscreen, it vibrates and rattles VERY annoyingly. The only remedy I understand is to stick it down (or replace the gasket) when the screen is being replaced. Yep, that's the only means of access apparently. Not great Audi. Good luck!

The passenger vent on my Allroad vibrates at times, up to now a piece of paper wedged under it stops the rattle, I must remember to remove it and sort it properly. BTW the vent just pulls out.

Have you checked it’s not the MMI screen that’s rattling? In my pre I had a few issues with it.

Similar to KevTrem, I found if i just closed the vent very slightly to take out any free play on the linkages it stopped....but it is annoying having a rattle!

Thanks for the comments. The vent issue, have you found this only rattles at higher speeds? I wondered if it was due to increased wind flow or just a matter of resonance that occurs at that road speed?

Not speed related at all on mine. Just on rougher road surfaces.
