Bonnet Sound Proofing

Is there supposed to be sound proofing? Cars. Late 2014 facelift model and there is no sound proofing on the underside of the bonnet? Can anyone confirm if this or normal or not? Thanks

2013 A7 here. Yes, soundproofing is installed on underside of bonnet.

Better off with Silent Coat's offerings .

I’d prefer the proper shielding that’s covering the DPF/CAT. I’ve used their offerings in doors on ICE installs and squeak deadening. Not so confident over the engine .

I meant the black stuff stuck to the underside of the bonnet. Not sure if it’s sound proofing or shielding.
