A sad farewell

After 19 years of Audi ownership and a collection of fabulous Audi cars, it’s time to say goodbye. I am moving to the USA with my wife at the end of January, and starting a new life living the American Dream. For reasons too complicated to go into here, our first car over there will be a Mercedes E53 AMG, but my heart will always be pining for another Audi.

If you come across my last car up for sale (A6 2.0 Ultra Black Edition with loads of extras - see my signature - registration RX16YCK) it’s a dream car - the best car I ever had. Audi make some amazing cars, and it has been a huge privilege to drive them over the years.

I will be taking my Ross-Tech cable with me to New Jersey and continuing to offer free scans and mods for all and sundry. If you ever need my services over there, you know where to come :-)

When (not if) I get my next Audi I will be back. In the meantime, a huge thank you to everyone on these pages who gives up their time and knowledge freely to help their fellow Audi drivers. I will always feel part of this amazing community, and it has been a privilege to feel a part of the VWAF family.

Oh no, this place will not be the same without you. I've been an AUdi A6/A7 owner since 2009 and your knowledge was invaluable for me and many others. All the best in the USofA.

Let us know what you think of the E53 , I went for Merc after years of thinking my next car would be a B8 Avant .

New Jersey is lovely, there is an annual VW gathering in late January called Waterfest at the Atco dragway which was started by a friend of mine called Peter Bohrmann who owned Rapid Parts in NY at that time, I have visited the show a couple of times and I can see why you would want to live in that area.
