Quick question guys, ref powered tailgate on Avant, I can see that it opens with either driver door switch or manually touching the boot handle. I have also seen how it closes by one touch of the internal boot handle; Does it also fully close via holding down the corresponding button on the key fob? Ta.

Nope, not as standard. Can only be closed by boot button. Opening is via driver's door, boot catch or fob.

Not got my c8 Avant (next weekend!!) so can’t say if this still works, but on my c7, if the engine was running you can close the tailgate from the switch on the drivers door by holding it up. Whilst tailgate is closing you get an annoying “beeping”

Confirmed, the tailgate can be closed using the switch in the drivers door when the engine is running. The beeping sound is much quieter than it was on my c7
