    i have just bought a 2004 vw touareg 3.0l tdi v6

it has all the extra features
    front and rear parking sensors
    heated leather electric seats
    electric folding mirrors
stop start push ignition with keyless entry
    sat nav stereo
you name it this thing has it

the car keeps activating the starter motor whilst im driving and the thing dont shut off the first time it happend my car nearly set on fire the second time left me stranded in the middle of no where with a burnt out starter motor.

does anyone have any idea what is causing this as i dont want to fit another starter motor until i rectify the fault

Sounds like the signal line (terminal 50) may be shorting. Get wiring checked.
