Hi all, I’ve hit the issue where my parking sensors are giving me the long beep of gloom. I’ve identified two that don’t appear to be working, and have the replacements. However the replacements need painting, but looking at the sensors, they appear to be made up of two separate parts, clipped together.

I was was wondering if you could remove the painted section from the old and replace them onto the new unit? I’ve not seen this mentioned before, but thought it was worth asking.

i couldn’t find any picture or even guides with anyone stripping them down, from any other cars either.

    Any suggestions?

i’ve attached an example pic (not the correct sensor though!)
