    I have a 2017 Passat Estate R-line
It says in my hand book that the fuse box is behind the glove box and you need to push the side strut back to drop it down can't see how to do this tho?
Also how did you get the cables down the windscreen side pillar? Can this be taken off some how?
Also has anyone got a cable from the front to the back window. I have a dash can with a rear camera that a cable needs routing some how, my car has the parametric sun roof as well.
    Any info would help

    thanks

That bit I can help with: you push the strut in the opposite direction from the picture in the manual!

    Thanks that worked.
I've added a few picks of the strut and the hole behind.
Also added one of the fuse box with the Fuse adaptor using the cigarette fuse if anyone interested.

Hi, I have recently bought exactly the same car (R-Line Passat Estate 2.0 TSI, 2018 model) and have the same issue releasing the glove box to get to the fuses!
From your photo it looks like there is a large washer which appears too big to go through that hole?
    I'm still struggling!!

You see the black lowering support, when the glove box is in the down position pull the support towards you, it's moves a few mm and then pops out
