    Default Fuel tank location – 02-01-2019,09:15 PM
    Hi all,

    Happy New Year.

    I have a 2012 Audi A4 TDI (Manual) and there's a vibrating noise between 1400 rpm to 1600 rpm. It only happens between gears 1 to 4 and when in neutral.

    After a google search I came across this post (link below), who have stated it could be the fuel line vibrating against body close to where line leaves fuel tank. I cant find the location of the fuel tank in order to check so any help with this would be great.

    2.0tdi Multi - Vibration noise between 1400-1600rpm?

    The car has also been to Audi for a service, which stated exhaust sleeve leak. Would there be an easy way to diagnose which of the 2 is making the noise?

    Finally got round to looking at it. Got the central exhaust sleeve replaced and the noise was still there. Ended up being the fuel line vibrating against the body as the post suggested.
