    Folks
Can anyone help please to explain/resolve an issue my wife's Polo has suffered since new?
The windscreen and side windows require the heater air to be directed AT the screen otherwise the glass mists on the inside. This is particularly bad in wet or damp weather but a recent cross-country trip reminded me that it happens in dry weather when there are 4 people in the car. Note, this is DESPITE the air con being on at all times.
It is as if the re-circ is permanently switched on and no fresh air is being drawn into the cabin.
I have previously reported the problem to the VW dealer and they claimed they could find nothing wrong and that this is normal!
Does anyone else with mk6 Polo recognise these symptoms? Is this a known fault with the car?
    Glynn

Should demist fine. Get the HVAC module scanned first. Could be a electrical/mechanical issue with a servomotor. If no faults, have basic settings run on system and control stops relearned.

When you say seal failure - do you mean there is actual water ingress? If so, I don't think that's my issue. There is no sign of wetness or damp in the car at all.
    But thanks for your input

I had the system fully tested by dealer this week (after a lot of wrangling!) and no fault could be found unfortunately.
The re-circ was moving as designed from open to close as requested and all other flaps tested ok.
I have since thought of another theory - could my pollen filter be damp/partially blocked? Only done 6000 miles but going to take it out on weekend and examine it. Might just leave it out and see if it makes any difference...

I would get the dealer to put the fault in writing or put in writing that this fault is normal and then pass on to VW. It might be quicker to try a more helpful dealer.
