Hi all I have issues with my Mk5 golf gt Tdi 2.0 automatic.

    166k on clock
I previously have had issues where I am driving, loose power then I have to pull over and the car seems to reset it self.

My most recent issues is that when I get to approx 60mph I can feel a shudder to the car ?? Any ideas

Also I have had a issue where the car is driving normally, when I get to the junction to go off the car stalls and unable to start the car.

The issue that I have had today I was driving on dual carriageway where I put my foot down the car was fine then all of a sudden the loss of power in the car and the car was hardly moving at all.

The car went into the local garage who checked the main things he changed the injectors a week ago but I'm having the same problem, the garage not sure of the issue.

I'm sure there is someone out there that can help, I will be grateful

You say it is an overdboost limp home but how do you know this without any fault code evidence? If the injectors were “changed” this would have cost you around £2500 so I am sure you would have made more point of this....

    Hi
The garage I went to was a family member they had a same car in salvage, they have advised that the injectors where taken out and put into mine as they thought this was the issue as they got the car started. However the underlying problem is still there and not been fixed.

There are not light codes on the dashboard, but there may be fault codes stored not sure of this as I haven't got any access to check.

I forgot to mention that there was a slight whistle yesterday while I was driving before the car went into limp mode. Hope that helps

Were the replacement injector IMA codes entered into the ECU?

As per your question I'm not really sure, car was driving fine but the same problem occurring before they changed the injector, that's if they even changed them. Overboost, slight whistle, going into limpmode when you put your foot down

I'm guessing that the garage are going to say that they cannot repair it. It's too of a nice car to scrap it.

What I can I do to check?
Turbo, egr, manifold flap vanes pipework ?

Sounds like the turbo needs a rebuild to start with.
