Is anyone buying the C8?

£28850 is the cheapest saloon C8 on E Bay at present, I really think that are a sales disaster for Audi.

To my mind, it's simply more like a facelift really, pretty poor after seeing the concept car. Just doesn't excite me enough to warrant splashing the cash. Looked at a merc E class, Nah. Looked at a BMW, nah. settled for an S90, nice inside, lots of included tech, and it's a bit different, All for under £40k.

Back at home in Latvia we have a saying - ''You're a bad driver ? Show it to everyone - buy a Volvo !''
But its not like I agree to it, just a good joke. Drove a V50 2.0 D (which is more Ford then Volvo) for 60 000 miles myself. It had 180 000 when sold it and in that time didn't have a single engine problem apart from alternator failure and that was 150 Eur fitted.

I like S90's interior a lot.

Another kink in the sales is the lack of any petrol engines being available. Diesel car sales dropped a lot in the UK after "diesel gate" - depending on which statistics you believe something like a 30%+drop this year. I believe that Audi (well VW group) are fitting GPFs to their petrol engines and that requires each config to go through the new emissions testing procedure, which is apparently hugely backlogged and means that many of the petrol engines won't be on offer until "sometime" in 2019.

Not a fan of the styling but decided to tweet Audi to ask if/when a black edition was coming and they didn’t give any answers - just watch social media. Not going to change for another year, but want to see what they are like.

I’ve noticed they have started to do a Vorsprung edition on the A7 now, so wonder if that level of trim is the new BE?

Also no mention of a hybrid for company car drivers. BMW have one on Audi here with the 530e M Sport.

Certainly not keen on the new A6/A7; after three C7’s in a row it’s a shame. Think it’s going to be a 5’er or a V90...
