Just checking with anyone who had the all wheel steering option.

I've noticed on my car that when I turn left or right on full steering lock (whether reversing or driving forward) that there is a slight judder, like the car is slipping when you come out of the turn.

Going to book it in but wondered if anyone else noticed this. Nothing major but it is a niggly annoyance and wondered if it's anything to do with the all wheel steering or just my car.

    Thanks

It sounds more like a differential / Quattro system problem to me

I have the same. As I know it is not connected with 4 wheel steering but with Quattro and the size of the wheels (big).

I’m aware of a crabbing issue with Mercedes 4WD systems on RHD vehicles on big wheels. See this example. Dunno if that helps, hope the Audi doesn’t suffer from this I’ve never noticed that (21 inch wheels, not 4 wheel steering though).

I had exactly that sensation with my X5 a few years back. It turned out to be the front transfer box and a very expensive replacement. The extended warranty paid for itself with this one issue!
