    I have a problem with my Seat Ibiza 'Chill' 2011.

    I have the following fault code on diagnostics.

    P1918 Load signal terminal DF of Generator : Open circuit/short circuit to B+

    Can anyone help? I can't really afford to go to SEAT garage to fix the fault.

    Many thanks for your help in advance, and please let me know if you need more information in order to help.

    Thank you.

    Could be;

    • Wiring from/to Generator faulty
    • Voltage Regulator faulty
    • Generator faulty

    In which case;

    • Check Wiring from/to Generator
    • Check Voltage Regulator
    • Check Generator

    Usually the thin (0.5mm CSA) blue wire from the alternator to the j519 Onboard supply control unit ECU breaks inside the harness, somewhere under the battery where it goes from the body to the 2 pin gearbox plug near the starter.
