2.0 tdi, 140kw, 2015. Got a bit colder recent days (-3 C). When starting the car engine shook, and engine light came on.
Wouldn't notice any difference if not the glowing engine light, car drives just fine. No power loss. No error or warnings, didn't go away when started again.
    scanned with odb11.
got a fault Audi A6 trouble code P067200. Fault in glow plug, cylinder number 2. Cleared the error, two days later it is back.
    Looks like it needs changing.
The problem is timing. With Christmas and holiday period I doubt I can get it done before after New year.
my question - is it damaging to the car? Can it wait for a month? What if it gets even colder?
also I will be going on a trip (800km) at the end of January, can the car make it 🙂
Or should I try to fix it asap?
    Thanks for the advices

It could cause DPF blocking, if it brings the MIL on it means it is an emissions problem.

Most of the trips would be highway driving. That should burn most of the soot?
But it sounds like I need to fix as soon as possible then.

That would cause less stress than lots of stop/start.

Glow plug is around 12 pounds a piece.
And its DIY job if its not too cold or you can get car inside.
If you do it at shop, better do them all at once, others 3 will follow soon anyway.
Better do it before January trip as Crasher mentioned DPF can stop regens.

I think I will change it or at least try doing it myself. I did look for glow plugs and I am a bit confused. Checked couple internet shops where you enter reg number or select a car and results are that length of the glow plug is not the same from one maker to another.
Bosch one is 130mm, mounting height 28mm, magneti 129,4mm and mounting height 27mm. Not sure what to choose and so on. One plug is even 148mm length, that cant be right.
