I have a 2005 Polo 1.4 and the front sub-frame bolts keep loosening and then I get a clunking when I break or accelerate

Does anyone know a solution or upgrade that might help me with this problem.

The car only has 35K on it and other than this issue drives really well.

    All help is much appreciated

    Thanks

It is common to see the aluminum consul bolts keep coming loose when work has been done, such as new consul bushes, and then the old bolts used. The bolts are strictly one time one TTY (Torque To Yield) and an example is the M12 consul bolts where the spec is 70Nm plus a 90 degree turn to stretch. Even if a bolt is brand new, once it has been stretched it is junk and must be replaced, consequently we do not apply the stretch until we are sure everything is perfect and the alignment has been done, we have to keep a huge stock of genuine bolt, literally thousands of pounds worth but being stuck for a bolt can cost hundreds of pounds in dead lift time.
