    Hi everyone,

Occasionally I have water coming out from the boot lid when I open it. The water itself pours from where 2 lights are in the lid itself, sometimes from one side, sometimes from the other and it happened that it comes from both at the same time.

Due to water staying in the plastic boot lid cover, both lights are damaged and not working, as well as one of two reg plate lights due to rust/corrosion.

Now it is not something that happens every time it rains, so I thought perhaps it is only when I wash the car.

So I took out my pressure washer and tried wash every area in the boot and found that water is coming from the top of the boot (near the break light), but nowhere else. It was coming out through the tiny holes, the ones where the plastic trim clips in (marked in pictures)

My question would be if anyone has had a leak in the same place and what could it be? A seal or something?

    Some pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/bxB3Qnr

    Thanks

I have read that on avant versions is usually leakage from pipes for washing system, therefore, check washing spray pipes, from entrance (through plastic tubes where are cables as well) to the washing spray nozzle.

Novica, that has been checked. The water pipe linkage where the the door pivots, is clearly seen when the plastic cover is open. That link is absolutely fine and it has no tears. As stated in the comment above, I have found where the leak is coming from and it is not from the rear washer tube or its motor/mechanism, which was replaced new last year.

There were quite a few topics I have found online, discussing the leak, but none of them had any particular info on the leak that I have. Them topics were, mostly, about the leak from the rear light clusters seal failing. But I have gone through all the crevices in the boot with a jet wash and water was only coming in from the top.

The marked area in the picture is where I jet wash it and the arrows show where the water drips inside (picture of the car not mine, just took from online for illustrations purposes) dsc-0061-2642811952593388915 — imgbb.com

    Thanks
