Message popped up on Friday - engine management light came on, too, and remains on at all times. Car drives fine but the stop/start function stopped working. Q: the car is due a major service in 2k miles, which will be approx end of January/beginning of Feb, do I wait until then to get it fix, or should I get it seen now? I've got a trip to France planned over the festive period so slightly concerned, although unlikely that my local Audi Dealer will be able to booked me in until January...

Are you getting any other faults like abs, cruise control? That could be just faulty abs sensor.

£710 later fault fixed by Audi Garage. The problem was a faulty throttle valve J338. Part replaced and all back to normal now. Thanks goodness to the extended warranty...
