Recently purchased a 2015 a6 avant, came with the panoramic sunroof (wasn't a necessity to me). And after a few days of heavy rain noticed the passenger side carpet was quite a bit wet. The driver to but not as bad. I have see the water trickle down the bottom of the pillar when raining heavy. But I'm not sure whether it's the sunroof now. I've tried everything out, opened the sunroof and I have poured water into the 2 front drain holes and both have drained outside the car with nothing coming in? Is this because of the amount of water I've used compared to heavy rain ? Or is the issue else where. Around the sunroof is a lot of dirt and grime. Could this be clogging the drain pipes and flooding them as from my test they seem to drain well..
    Also the headliner feels dry?
    Confused here. Thanks

Just poured a lot more water into the drainage of the sunroof and got some leaking action into the pillar same as the above photo.. looks like there is a seal broke or the hose itself that connects to it has a leak. Time to start taking off some trims

Take it back to Audi as its still under warranty. There is a known problem with the Panoramic sunroof's which requires the whole cassette being replaced.

It has 34k miles now. My problem is that I bought it in London and drove it home to Ireland. So the dealer I bought it from will be too much hassle. Is this covered by Audi as I've seen people saying they had to pay for it in UK ?

After a couple of more tests on it. I think the problem isn't with the drainage system at all. After reading a post about the same issue with a yeti and a sunroof. The person blocked the drainage then poured water in. Then here we have it, a lot more water entering the car without even going through the drain pipe. The culprit as this person also has seen to seal and fix himself is this... (shown by his work) figure 2

Hi is it Audi approved used. If so then the guarantee should cover it, that is while we are still in the EU !

I've just gave my nearest audi garage a ring there to see and they told me they would give me a call back as they're busy . I assume so I bought it from a independent dealer in London? But it has all audi service history and documents so I would guess so

Hi if it was not from an Audi dealership (approved) then I would guess it is now out of its 3 years cover, had it been from Audi then it would have at least a year on it as an approved used car. Suspect Audi will not do it free of charge if purchased from another source. If the independent gave a warranty then you need to give them the opportunity to get it resolved, but a bit difficult in your position. There is a recent thread here on pan roof leek have a look at that. Was it a good price ? if so then this may be why. Good luck

Yes your correct just out of audi warranty there in September and will not cover it for free so. They said "5 day job, 2 hours labour a day. £250 for the diagnosis and they would let me know If it needed more at an extra charge"... think I might try give it a go myself
