Since getting the intercooler replaced on my 2007 Passat 2.0 TDI it has been smooth sailing...

However, I have noticed that intermittently on idle (usually when warmed up and sitting in traffic) the whole car starts to shake as if the engine is about to fall out! If I rev the engine even to just over 1,000RPM it goes away, but once it returns to the usual idle of about 800RPM it starts shaking again.

It can go away as quickly as it comes and makes me think it isn't as simple as a worn engine mount.

Any ideas as to what is causing this?

    Thanks.

Isn't P2015 usually fixed with the restriction bracket to prevent the manifold flap sensor from registering a position below 0 and above 100%? That's a cheaper option to try first before replacing the anti shudder flap unit (incorrectly named 'throttle body' on a TDI).

Had this happen about 6 months ago to me. Car sat there happily idling away and then felt like somebody had chucked a brick into a spin dryer, put your foot on gas above 1000rpm and it went away. It became more and more common until it was all the time. Generic fault code reader zero faults (no surprise) , VCDS showed injector 4 operating out of range. Cam cover was pulled and sure enough injector 4 was ******* diesel out of every orifice. I sourced a good used one off a friend for £50 and problem solved, been running like a champ since. Moral of the story for the OP is to get a proper fault scan done first before making rash replacement of parts that might not be faulty.
