Hi all, the clutch is heading south on my car. It does have 120k and is on the factory clutch so to be fair it's done pretty well.

Does anybody know if the 1.6 FSi (BLF with 6 speed box) has a DMF or SMF?

It is a bit gutless, but then again I was driving a 3l Jag before this which probably doesn't help much . I quite like chains, mainly because I've not had one go wrong on me yet (I've also not had a belt go wrong on me, but have spent a few mornings replacing them).

We have one here today that needs chains, I never see belts fail but I do see a lot of chain problems.

Oddly I am just working out how to retro fit a DMF in an old Audi Coupe quattro.

Sounds like we've had the complete opposite experience with cars over the years. I can understand wanting a DMF of a Quattro, should add a little extra refinement and possibly help the MPG a bit
