OK, so my better half has now had the same problem twice. Both times when it's raining so I'm assuming water ingress somewhere.
The issue is a warning on the dash for "Headlamps incorrectly adjusted" and "parking brake malfunction" I'm not sure about the headlights but there was actually a parking brake problem, as in it wouldn't work. When she removed the ignition key it did work again.
As I said, it's happened both times when it's rained. Also, they both come on together.
I've been out in the car tonight and, as you'd expect, it doesn't do it when I drive it.
    Any ideas anyone?

One of the myriad of things it could be is water getting into one of the brake units via a cracked casing.

    Thanks.
When you say brake units, what do you mean exactly? Something around the wheels area?

Thanks for that. I'll get that looked at.
Any ideas why the headlight warning would come on at the same time though??
