Just changed job that will mean a 75 mile commute on what will primarily be 85% motorway...

What reasons if any to choose the A7 over A6 in 3.0tdi form?....would be looking for a 4WD 2016 model with less than 50K on it....obviously I am seeing A7's that are more expensive....I like the look of the A7 but can't see any other reason to buy beyond that?

I've had both and went from the 2015/2016 A6 to the 2015/2016 A7.
For me it was more the looks and the obvious upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 engine

It's a difficult one - looks-wise the A7 is great and obviously I'm no expert but I wonder with the whole design of it/spoiler/curved back, is it more eff on the motorways in terms of drag?
Also the ability to top-load in the boot was an advantage too.
There isnt that much more otherwise - there were some extra gadgets like HUD and electric seats I got in the A7 as standard over the A6 but then that could be seen as a risk of expense too if you crack your windscreen (HUD enabled screens being more £££?)

Only real difference will be looks.

I think a better question is A6 with 272 or 320 engine!! In reality both are brilliant cruisers and will make the commute reasonably easy.

To throw another option in to the hat, have you looked at the A8 - lot of car for the money. Low mileage 2015 facelifts with the 254 engine are round about 20-22k.
