Perfect! That's exactly what I needed. Press the off button again and everything lights up. Thank you 😀

    Thanks, it works this way.
Still would be better if this would be done without the double click

On my 2012 A6 Avant, pressing the stop/start button to turn the engine off (foot on the brake pedal or not) the engine stops but hte MMI remains active. With your foot off the pedals, pressing the button again shuts down everything and turns on the interior lights in the same way that opening the drivers door does.

My fathers 2013 A6 Avant does the same too.

If these were "normal" cars with "normal" keys, the process would be when removing the key the lights come on. Pressing the button the second time/opening the door, is telling the car you've finished and will be getting out.

Am i missing something please? I have a 2017 Tiquan R-Line Auto. When i pulled into the drive last night, i pressed the On/Off button and pulled the handbrake button, took my foot off the brake and pressed the On/Off button again but the radio stayed on and the lights stayed off. Any advise would be gratefully received.

Think the Tiquan section of this forum Tiguan would be a better place to ask this question as this will be a vehicle type specific function. This is the Audi A6 C7 forum
