    Hi

I was driving today and it felt like the clutch was slipping. In higher gears only and around 50 mph, the numbers next to ‘D’ disappeared and the car just revved. Then it selected gear and carried on.

Later, whilst driving at 70, heard a beep and the traction light came on, and lost gears again. Pulled on hard shoulder. Turned off and on and managed to get home.

Whilst idle. Now of i move the shifter from P to D, i hear clunks as it engages gear.

What could the problem be. Is the gearbox gone or mechatronics? Or the cluthes?

Who would be the best person to go to around Hertford?

Really could do with some help

Code read with VCDS, but you will need DSG specialist, or second hand gearbox, look what is cheaper.
    Current cars:
    2007 Passat b6 2.0 tdi BMR DSG
    2013 Golf MK7 1.6 tdi 5 speed

If it has a warranty on it then get it back to the garage and be firm but fair, don't let them fob you off, just be politely persistent. Good luck
