    Yh if I can get proof of the engine change may be would of considered it. Resell would be an issue Evan doe I plan to keep it for atleast 3/4 years if not longer. Dealer got it like this somebody has been ripped off somewhere down the line I expect

    Yes and what does engine change mean - gearbox didn't get newer, was injectors, turbo, DPF, EGR changed too ?
    If you change engine block why would you have privilege to scroll mileage ?
    Current cars:
    2007 Passat b6 2.0 tdi BMR DSG
    2013 Golf MK7 1.6 tdi 5 speed

    Slightly different topic Renars, How long does the multitronic gearbox last.
    Audi A7 3.0TDi 2011 160k miles, engine code CLAB 204bhp 2WD

    Thanks for replys. It's helped as not familiar with engine changes etc. Seen an a7 bitdi for £16k 115 miles doe. Read engine is great and would last

    These late models in A6 C7 and A7 were pretty good and mostly last over 150k.
    Probably, oil services at 38k helps them a lot.

    is that the same as the tiptronic? on the bitdi models 2013 as iv seen 1 but has 115k full service history and has had gear box oil changes.

    No, BiTDI has ZF8HP gearbox, quite strong and long lasting.
    Audi says it is sealed for life, but oil change at something like 80 000 would help it last longer.
    Multitronic oil service is 38 000 like S-tronic.
    Current cars:
