Hi my A4 1.8T BEX Quattro requires a clutch and dual mass, I usually do my own work, but this is going to be beyond my capabilities, what's the rough price for replacing these parts, I am in Somerset so any one recommend a place local to me.

i can supply genuine parts via TPS as I have an account, so anyone wants to do it labour only........what's the labour only cost? Cheers.

I have a 3.0 V6 petrol A4 (2003) and had a new clutch and DMF fitted last summer for £1000 cash (think it was vat free?) at a local gearbox place in Essex. No idea if your box is the same, or even similar though. Mines the 6 speed manual

Ok, have now had the clutch and DMF changed with an LUK one at my local Audi specialist. I had to tow the car there as it suddenly lost drive whilst my wife was driving.

i replaced the cv boot a week or so ago and the reason it lost drive was not because the clutch had given up but the small "C" clip on the drive shaft that you knock the cv joint over broke in two when I put the joint back together. The driveshaft came out of the cv joint when the steering was on full lock. Yes I do feel very stupid. But at least it's all sorted now, just a new cam belt next week and front tyres then we are off to Scotland for xmas!
