Reading the article it mentions that they think it is unlikely they will change the interior to that which is in the Q8, however, if the Q8 is similar in size and components to the Q7 then I can imagine it wouldn’t cost a lot in retooling to give the Q7 the Q8 dashboard

My Audi dealer told me that during their last training at Ingolstadt they were told that new Q7 will have Q8 dashboard. In dimensions Q7 and Q8 dashboards are 1:1.

Appears you were correct. That’s a shame. I really don’t like the direction they’ve taken. Not for me when my 3 years are up next year....

I had given in to the fact it was going to happen... from a business perspective it makes sense I guess.

Shame but you never know... it might not be too bad.. best to go have a play...

The main "shape" of the car hasnt change much mind you... but then I guess it wouldn't for a facelift.

We changed to a 50tdi Vorsprung last week, it went back in for dash cam fitting this week and was given an A7 with the new touch Dashboard. Hated it, you’re always taking your eyes off the road to find what to press.

I think it was a review of the A7 on carwow and I thought it also looked cheap and ugly - particularly the flat top bit that is a result of it all having to be brought forward.

Looking on the picture it seems that new Q7will have in option also the laser lights. The same "blue shadows" in headlights has new X5 with the laser lights option. By the way, new X5 could be a good alternative to Q7. The price is very competitive and I was very impressed by this what offers this car, especially in M50D version. On top of this X5 offers good compromise between traditional buttons and touch screens.
